Faithful Navigator March 2016 Message

The regular election of officers in the assembly shall take place annually at the first regular business meeting of the assembly held in May of each year. The officers then elected all hold office for the term of one year, except the faithful trustees whose election is for a three-year term and until their successors are elected and qualified. If you are interested in becoming an officer in the assembly, please contact me. I will give your name to the nominating committee which I will be appointing at the next regular business meeting of the assembly, March 15. I have been reading in my “Little Lenten Prayer Book” assiduously. It tells me we are nearly half way through Lent already. It also says we should look back and assess how we are doing with both our Lenten observances and our Lenten plan for giving up or adding something to our daily lives, i.e., prayer, attending daily Mass, etc. I hope you are all finding it rewarding to make these small sacrifices or additions to your daily lives and that it is preparing you well for the celebration of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He died for our sins. It is only right that we should make these small preparations during this season! A great man once said, “There is nothing wrong with having nothing (further) to say, unless you insist on saying it!” Obviously not a politician, but then, neither am I. Until next month…
